How Does It Work?
Step 1 - Sketch
The first part of the process involves us creating a sketch of what the final product will look like. This gives you an idea of what your piece would look like. After sketching, we process the image into a CAD file, which helps us show you what your ring would look like from several angles.
Step 2 - Wax Model
We 3D print a wax model to prepare the mold for your design. Preparing a mold lets us get the measurements of your piece perfect and helps reduce metal wastage — saving you money and time.
Step 3 - Rough Casting
This step is the first tangible step to your ring being created. A rough casting is made by pouring the metal into the mold, cooling, and demolding. This rough cast is unpolished and needs further work to be jewelry ready.
Step 4 - Semi-Mount
We polish the metal to fine jewelry standards. Depending on the metal, we follow different procedures to get you the best look for your jewelry. At this point, the semi-mount is ready to include gemstones.
Step 5 - Diamond Setting
We first set the diamonds in the piece. Since there are almost always more diamonds than Tanzanite in your jewelry, this allows us to go through the process faster and have the ring prepared for you as quickly as we can.
Step 6 - Finished Jewelry
Finally, we add your beautiful Tanzanite to its setting. We ensure a tight fit in all the prongs, making sure your Tanzanite is as secure as it can be. After your jewelry is created, we will ship it out to you from our office in New York with our Certificate of Authenticity and free lifetime warranty.
